Colfax competes at Avista Holiday Tournament

LEWISTON, Idaho — The Colfax Bulldogs boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Idaho to play in the 12th annual Avista Holiday Tournament on Thursday and Friday, Jan. 2-3.

The boys first defeated the Pendleton (Ore.) Buckaroos, 75-63, and went on to beat the Clarkston Bantams, 65-40, in the semifinals.

The girls beat Pendleton, 60-32, in the opening round then fell to the Bantams, 60-17, in the semifinal.

The Bulldog boys could not compete in the tournament championship and the girls had to drop out of the third-place game due to WIAA scheduling rules, according to Avista tournament announc...
