Timberwolves boys drop home opener

Tekoa-Rosalia boys fall to Valley Christian Panthers

TEKOA - The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves boys basketball team fell to the Valley Christian Panthers, 66-41, for the season opener on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The Panthers gained a 14-4 lead to end the first quarter. While Valley Christian added substantial points in the second quarter, the Timberwolves were still able to rally a bit.

Down, 30-8, halfway through the second, the Timberwolves doubled their score and gained the next seven points. At halftime, Valley Christian led, 37-21.

The Panthers extended their lead in the third quarter, leading 53-30 to end the frame. Tekoa-Rosalia stayed with Valley Christian for the final quarter, but Valley Christian came away with the win.

Next up for Tekoa-Rosalia will be to play a home game against the Dayton Bulldogs at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. The Timberwolves will then have a chance at redemption as they travel to Spokane Valley for a rematch against Valley Christian at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10.
